Emancipet – Low Cost Spaying and Neutering

Share

Emancipet, a non-profit spay/neuter organization, in combination with the City of Georgetown Animal Shelter, hosts a low cost (or in some cases free) spay/neuter clinic for dogs and cats on some Wednesdays every month at the Animal Shelter (for directions, click here).  In July, clinics are scheduled for July 1, 8 and 22.

Emancipet has amazing veterinarians and vet technicians that can perform as many as forty surgeries per day.

Prices are as follows:

  • Dog spay: $59.00
  • Dog neuter: $49.00
  • Cat spay: $39.00
  • Cat neuter: $29.00

Vaccinations are also available for pets having surgery.

Appointments are required and can be made on-line at emancipet.org or by calling: (512) 587-7729.

If you are unable to cover the cost of the surgery, Georgetown Animal Outreach, GAO, is able to help some people that need financial assistance, depending on grant funding. As of September 2008, GAO has fundings to spay / neuter pit bulls and pit bull mixes. Call GAO at (512) 863-6006 to request a low-cost certificate or for more information. The spay / neuter procedures will be scheduled at EmanciPET or at certain local veterinarians.
