Senior Cat: M

Share

February 8th, 2010 by Shawn G

M is a sweet male cat that was surrendered when his owners had to move.  Can you imagine coming to a shelter after 10+ years in a home?!  He is understandably nervous here but still accepts petting like a gentleman.

As a (somewhat) senior cat, M qualifies for the Senior-to-Senior program, which allows senior citizens to adopt senior animals at no charge.  Often, people are looking for a calm pet, and senior animals just want a quiet home to spend their golden years and a warm lap and friendly face to love them back.

His previous owners say they named the cat M for Motormouth because he was quite talkative as a youngster.  They described M as active, friendly to family and visitors, affectionate, talkative and playful.

M has been declawed so he must be an indoors-only cat.  He is about 11 years old, a neutered orange and white Domestic Short Hair.

You can visit M at the Georgetown Animal Shelter.   For more information on adopting from our shelter, visit our Adoption page.
