Pumpkin

Rescue me
My name is Pumpkin, and my brother Saku and I are 9-year-old Bengal mixes, surrendered to the shelter.
We are looking for loving homes to enjoy our middle-age.
We are both vocal at times, but I in particular have a lot to say, especially when people are not paying attention to me.

Stan and Ollie

Take two - they're small.
We’re two poor little puppies, left in a box in someone’s yard. Can anyone find a spot for us in their home? We won’t take up much room.
We are both male, about 4 months old and only 5 lbs. We have a cute scruffy terrier-look and curly tails.

Jensen

My name is Jensen, and I’m a male poodle mix, about 2 years old.
As I write this, an adoption application was just submitted for me by a nice young girl and her parents.
Do you think they will be my new family?

Milo
Hello, my name is Milo, and I’m a male white cat with charcoal spots and light turquoise eyes, about 3 years old.
Aside from good looks, I’m a quite amiable fellow. I’m happy to lay around and observe the goings-on, and even supervise if needed.

Isaiah

UPDATE: A nice lady and her son adopted me, and now I have someone to take me on walks and play with me. They appreciate my zest for life.
I’m called Isaiah because that is what my former owners called me. The shelter people think I look like part Great Dane and possibly English Pointer, but let’s face it – my heritage is a mystery.
My temperament is no mystery though – I’m a big lovable goof. I’m a bit desperate for attention, but I’m very trainable. I respond well to corrections, especially on leash. I also love to run. Do you?

Jack
My name is Jack, and I’m one of the best all-around cats you’ll ever meet. I LOVE to play – with balls, string toys, tiny pieces of lint, whatever! I’m also very laid back. I like other cats, and I’m tolerant of dogs and feisty children.
I’m a young Domestic Medium Hair, pure white with a smudge on my forehead, about 1 1/2 years old.

Senior Cat: M
M is a sweet male cat that was surrendered when his owners had to move. Can you imagine coming to a shelter after 10+ years in a home?! He is understandably nervous here but still accepts petting like a gentleman.
As a (somewhat) senior cat, M qualifies for the Senior-to-Senior program, which allows senior citizens to adopt senior animals at no charge. Often, people are looking for a calm pet, and senior animals just want a quiet home to spend their golden years and a warm lap and friendly face to love them back.
His previous owners say they named the cat M for Motormouth because he was quite talkative as a youngster. They described M as active, friendly to family and visitors, affectionate, talkative and playful.
M has been declawed so he must be an indoors-only cat. He is about 11 years old, a neutered orange and white Domestic Short Hair.
You can visit M at the Georgetown Animal Shelter. For more information on adopting from our shelter, visit our Adoption page.

Amigo

UPDATE: I’ve been adopted by a retired couple who love me so much! They fostered me through yucky heartworm treatment (which the Shelter paid for), and now I am healthy and happy. PLEASE make sure to give your dog monthly heartworm preventative!
Hello, my name is Amigo. Obviously my previous owner considered me a friend. I ended up at the shelter when he died recently.
I’m a male Corgi mix, about 4 years old. Like most Corgis, I’m somewhat excitable and energetic. Overall, I’m a very nice and sweet guy that just wants to be with people.

Leo

A benevolent ruler
UPDATE: I was adopted by some lovely mortals.
They named me Leo the Magnificent. One little girl-visitor said I looked like Aslan from The Narnian Chronicles, and I don’t disagree.
I’m a male red Domestic Long Hair, about 2 years old. I’m very affectionate with people and tolerant of other cats.
