Race Day

Gimme a little kiss!
You can call me Race Day. It’s the only name I’ve ever known. My former owners gave me to the shelter in August, and I’ve been here ever since.
I’m really a loving boy. I love people and do well with other cats. I like to 1) be petted, 2) play, and 3) sleep – in that order.
I used to have a drooling problem until the shelter had my teeth cleaned. (Thanks!)

Smokey

Which way did they go?
Hi! My name is Smokey.
My collar was so tight when they found me that it was embedded, but I’m fine now. I just know there is a better life out there for me!
I’m a lovable schnauzer mix, about 1 year old. I’m a neutered male and only weigh 32 lbs – the perfect size for a lap!

Wicket

A little quiet, please!
I’m Wicket. As you can see, I’m orange and white, with soft pink ears, pink nose, and, not to toot my own horn, the best whiskers the world has ever seen. I’m a DSH (domestic short-hair), about 1 yr old, I’m great with other kitties, and I’m all boy.
My favorite place in the whole wide world is a lap. I like to lay on a warm lap and suck on my own toe (just like a baby sucks its thumb). I’ll let you know how happy I am by purring the best purr you’ve ever heard. But most of the time, I have to share the laps of the wonderful shelter people with others and so I’m usually in this cold metal cage daydreaming of my own person who will love me.

Pickles

The kind of brown eyes they write songs about
My name is PICKLES!!!! and its a perfect name. I’m a spayed female, 2 year old American Foxhound mix.
The wonderful shelter people call me “Miss Personality” and have given me the award for the best smile! I sit in my cage and daydream of finding a person who would be mine, someone who will give me attention and love and will smile back at me.
I’m a little scared of some men because a man in my past was mean to me, but I love kids, other dogs and cats. I just want someone to appreciate my big brown eyes and tell me that I’ve finally found a home.

Atticus

I’m Atticus. I’m a male German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix, about 1 yr old, and I’ve been at the shelter since middle of August. Can you believe that with as cute as I am?
I love to greet my people with a big bounce to show them how much I love them. Do you like the outdoors? Do you like to jog or walk? I’d love to go with you! Let’s go see the world together. I am ready to be part of an active family.

Ghost

They named me Ghost, but I’m not scary at all. Actually, I’m very loveable! I was wandering the streets after losing my home, so I’m glad to be somewhere safe and warm while looking for a new family.
I’m a male white Domestic Short Hair, about 3 years old.

LaLa

My name is LaLa, and I’m so cute that I was adopted quickly.
I hear that small dogs are very popular. Come visit my friends, which include a Chihuahua mix puppy and a Schnauzer mix – but you’d better hurry!

Sue

Cute as a kitten
My foster mom named me Sue, and I’m a female calico DSH, about 4 months old. Oh, and by the way, I should warn you, I am the definition of what an “especially adorable” kitten is!
It was so fun to live in a foster home with my brothers. We got to explore and experience new things. Now I’m back at the shelter and ready for a permanent family. Come visit me and the other cute kittens at the shelter!

Rocky

Don't laugh at my ears!
My name is Rocky. I’m an 8 month old male, possibly an American Bulldog/Pit Bull mix. (Like most shelter dogs, my parentage is uncertain. But what IS certain is I got more than my share of cute!)
I have a friendly, slightly goofy temperament, and I get along well with other dogs. I like balls and people, too. Yes, those are my real ears. They’re just as fun as I am!

Whisper

Huh?
They call me Whisper, which is ironic because I am deaf. But that just means I’m more sensitive to smiles and warm laps! I’m a beautiful soft white female Domestic Short Hair, only 9 months old.
I have a lovely temperament, too – very sweet and snuggly. I like to perch on shoulders and give occasional kisses. Because I have complete hearing loss, I need to be an inside-only cat.
