Duke
My name is Duke, and I’m a handsome male German Shepherd mix, about 1 year old.
At 45 lbs., I’m a medium-sized dog – not too small, not too big, but just right.
I have lots of energy and would make a good exercise buddy. Why don’t you come visit me, and see if we’re a good match? I love people and life!

Ginger

Senior to Senior Cat
I’m pleased to make your acquaintance. My name is Ginger, and I’m a female 10-year-old Domestic Short Hair with white and blue coloring.
At 10 years old, I qualify for the Senior-to-Senior program, which means that I can go to “senior” home for no cost. For the human senior to qualify, he or she should be 65 or older.
Not to brag, but I’ve been told that I am a lovely girl. I’m very affectionate and social.

Jerry
My name is Jerry. As you can see, I’m a brown tabby and white Domestic Short Hair. I’m a neutered male, about 3 years old, ready to go home with a person who will provide a nice lap for me.
I’m generally mellow, but I do have occasional spurts of play and wrestling, especially with my one buddy here at the shelter.

Storm

ADOPTED!
They named me Storm because I was rescued from a storm drain after heavy rain. It took several Animal Control Officers and utility workers many hours to free me. I’m so lucky to be alive, thanks to concerned citizens and City workers!
Despite that rude introduction to the world, I’m a sweet little male who purrs when you petting me right. I also love playing with the other kittens here at the shelter.
I’m a white and black Domestic Medium Hair neutered male (with hair as soft as a bunny), about 3 months old.

Brittany
Hi, I’m Brittany – a female brindle-coated American Staffordshire Terrier mix. I’m a young adult, about a year old, so shouldn’t grow much more than my current 40 lbs.
I’m free-spirited, independent and smart, and I get along with other dogs. I love playing with soft squeaky toys, but I also enjoy petting and a good massage. And guess what…I’m housetrained and know some basic obedience.
Please be aware that I will chase cats and squirrels to the end of the earth.

Saffron

My name is Saffron. I’m a sweet orange tabby Domestic Short Hair, a spayed female about a year old. I’m told that it is unusual for an orange cat to be female.
Some nice ladies found me and took me to a vet and then brought me to the animal shelter. I had a litter recently, but now I’m more than ready for my forever home. Remember, adult cats may be adopted for $25 through June 30.

Discounted Adoption Fee
Through the end of June, adult cats of 1 year or older may be adopted for a special adoption fee of $25.
The Animal Shelter is offering the discount in the hopes that some people will adopt an adult rather than one of the dozens of kittens at the shelter right now. Kittens usually have no difficulties finding homes because they are so cute. With adults, however, your curtains are more likely to survive intact.
The fee includes spaying/neutering, annual vaccination plus rabies vaccination, microchip and a small bag of cat food.

Penny
Hi, my name is Penny, and I’m the grinniest dog you’ll ever meet. Whenever new people come to visit, I grin and wag my tail.
I am back at the animal shelter after being adopted as a puppy, about 3 years ago. I loved my previous companions and am confused about being here. What did I do wrong?
My heritage is a mystery, but I’ve been called a Vizsla mix. Come see for yourself!

Louie

UPDATE: Louie is living in a foster home for now until he can find his forever home.
My name is Louie, and I’m a male Chihuahua mix, about 2 years old.
Some visitors found me wandering around town and brought me to the shelter. Thank goodness! It’s scary living on the streets. But why didn’t my owners come looking for me?
